Virtual Reality....What actually Virtual Reality means? Virtual means something that is not real or that does not exist physically in environment and reality means the thing that actually exist in the physical environment and can be touched or sensed by human organs.
Virtual Reality as a whole word means a fake 3D environment that is created with the help of the software and is present to viewers in such a way that the fake environment that was created earlier seems to be real to the viewer and that's the actual meaning of virtual reality.

The Virtual Reality preset artificial environment to viewer in such a way that the viewer suspends belief and accept it as a real environment. The Virtual Reality primarily experienced through the two of the senses i.e., sound and sight.
How VR gear works?
VR gear such like Oculus Rift , PlayStation VR and even the Google Cardboard are referred to as HMDs and all this means that they are Head Mounted Displays i.e., they can be mounted on head as shown in the picture above.
The aim of this hardware to show a virtual but yet better 3D world without any boundations that we face while watching a 3D movie over the screen.
The hardware got the stuff from console through HDMI in case of HTC's Vive and Oculus Rift, but Google Cardboard and Samsung Gear VR got its stuff from the mounted smartphone.
VR headsets display the stuff on two of its display i.e., one eye per display.
